Career Discovery Bootcamp
The 2-Week Bootcamp consists of:
- Multiple Hands-On Projects
- Blueprint and Precision Measurement
- Intro to soldering, electrical & mechatronics
- Tours of Local Manufacturers’
- OSHA 10 Safety Certification
- Employability Skills Assessment and Interview Coaching
All participants who successfully complete the Bootcamp will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be guaranteed interviews with multiple employers on the final day.
Essential Training
This 30-hour course covers allows the opportunity to earn the NIMS Measurement, Materials and Safety credential, and validates they have the fundamental knowledge on the following:
Shop & Machine Safety
Precision Measuring Devices
General Machining Practices
Print Reading
Inspection Techniques
SACA Micro-Credentials
This course covers a wide range of advanced manufacturing topics including safety, basic hand tools, measurement, print reading, and the fundamentals of mechanical, fluid power, electrical and automation. Basic Operations certification prepares individuals to succeed in operations and assembly position in a modern production environments that use industry 4.0 technology.
Pre-Apprenticeship
AmSkills is a Registered Florida Department of Education, Adult Pre-Apprenticeship for Advanced Manufacturing. This course introduces the essential (foundational) skills, Mechatronics, Machining and Robotics.
Machining
This program follows NIMS skills standards to align curriculum to industry practices and rely on NIMS credentials as an industry-recognized validation of student comprehension and instructional quality.
Our courses prepare individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to operate Manual and Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools including lathes, mills, precision measuring tools in order to perform machining functions such as cutting, drilling, shaping, and finishing products and component parts.
Mechatronics
This program follows PMMI Certification Tests which are nationally, industry-accepted, third-party credentials.
In partnership with Amatrol Training systems to provide and deliver the technical knowledge and hands on training in the following skillsets: Industrial Electricity, Mechanical Components, Fluid Power, Motor Controls and Programmable Logic Controllers.
Apprenticeship Program
AmSkills is a Registered Florida Department of Education, employer-sponsored Apprenticeship for occupations including Mechatronics Technician, Manual Machinist, CNC Machinist and Robotics Technician (2022). AmSkills provides Related Training Instruction (RTI) for these occupations, Apprenticeship Program Management, Coaching and Assessments for this Competency-Based program.
