AmSkills was established in 2014 through a regional partnership between Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando Counties to strengthen the local manufacturing workforce and address critical skilled labor shortages. In 2017, AmSkills, Inc. was formed as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and in 2020 operations fully transitioned under the leadership of a community-based Board of Directors.

Today, AmSkills transforms lives and strengthens communities by delivering industry-aligned workforce training, career discovery bootcamps, technical certifications, and registered apprenticeships. We support the Manufacturing, and infrastructure industries by developing skilled talent pipelines that connect individuals to high-wage, in-demand careers while meeting the evolving workforce needs of local employers.
