Who We Are

Founded in 2014 through a regional partnership among Pinellas, Pasco, and Hernando Counties, AmSkills was created to strengthen the local workforce and address critical skilled labor shortages. In 2017, AmSkills, Inc. became an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and in 2020 operations fully transitioned under the leadership of a community-based Board of Directors.

Today, AmSkills transforms lives and strengthens communities by delivering industry-aligned workforce training, career discovery bootcamps, technical certifications, skills enhancement training, and registered apprenticeships. We support the manufacturing and infrastructure sectors by building skilled talent pipelines that connect individuals to high-wage, in-demand careers while helping employers meet their evolving workforce needs.

Through our Recruit, Train, Sustain approach, AmSkills connects people to opportunity while strengthening the regional workforce.
