Mechatronics Classes - Electricity Lvl 1

This class covers basic safety practices for voltages up to 600 volts and knowledge of voltage, current and power in AC and DC circuits, circuit analysis of series and parallel loads, and basic understanding of resistors, capacitors, and inductors.

Adult Pre-Apprenticeship (Pasco) Apr 13th, 2020

Monday - Friday 7:00 am-2:30 pm For 12 Weeks
Marchman Technical College 7825 Campus Drive Bldg. 6 New Port Richey, FL 34653

This program is designed to replicate a real-work environment with 80% hands-on training and allows students to learn foundational skills needed in the Advanced Manufacturing industry and to 'explore' the top local career tracks needed; including Machinist (CNC), Tool & Die Makers, Mechatronics, Electronics and Industrial Maintenance. In addition, you will get to try your hand at welding, plasma cutting, robotics and many other exciting projects.

- Metal Composition and Classification
- Heat Treatment of Metals
- Maintenance Lubrication and Cutting Fluids
- Understand Drawings
- Understanding Layouts
- Hand Tools
- Saws and Cutoff Machines
- Offhand Grinding
- Drilling/Threading/Tapping/Reaming
- Drill Press
- Tools, Toolholding and Workholding for Drill Press
- Drill Press Operation

If you do not have knowledge of the above items, please register for our "Machining Session 1 Wait List" under the 'Register Now' section of our website.

This program prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skills to operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machine tools including lathes, mills, precision measuring tools, and related attachments and accessories in order to perform machining functions such as cutting, drilling, shaping, and finishing products and component parts.

1. NIMS Certification - Manual Milling
2. NIMS Certification - Turning - Between Centers
3. NIMS Certification - Turning - Chucking Part
4. NIMS Certification - Surface Grinding

Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Please call for more information.
